Public Works

Streets, snow removal, stormwater, signage, and Village fleet.

Public Works maintains the Village's streets, storm sewers, signs, street lights, and rights-of-way. The department also operates the Village fleet and supports special events.

Streets & snow removal

Public Works plows and salts Village streets during winter storms. Plowing typically begins when 2 inches of snow have accumulated. Park overnight in the driveway when possible to help crews clear curb to curb.

Stormwater

Public Works maintains storm sewers, detention ponds, and outfalls. Report flooding or blocked storm inlets by calling Village Hall.

Right-of-way

A permit is required for any work in the public right-of-way, including driveway aprons, sidewalks, and utility work. Contact Community Development for details.
