Water & Wastewater
Drinking water, sanitary sewer service, and water conservation.
The Water Department provides safe, reliable drinking water to Village residents and businesses and operates the Village's sanitary sewer collection system.
Water quality
Gilberts' drinking water meets or exceeds all Illinois EPA and federal Safe Drinking Water Act standards. The annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) summarizes water source, contaminant test results, and compliance information.
Lead service line program
The Village has completed a service line material inventory in compliance with the Illinois Lead Service Line Replacement and Notification Act. Residents may look up the material of their service line in the inventory.
Outages & emergencies
Report water main breaks, low pressure, or sewer backups by calling Village Hall during business hours or the non-emergency police dispatch number after hours.
Conservation & restrictions
Odd/even watering restrictions are in effect from May 15 through September 15. Residents with odd-numbered addresses water on odd-numbered days; even-numbered addresses water on even days.
