FOIA Records Request
Request public records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140) gives the public the right to inspect and copy public records of state and local government agencies, including the Village of Gilberts.
FOIA Officer
The Village Clerk serves as the designated FOIA Officer for the Village of Gilberts. Requests should be directed to the Clerk's attention at Village Hall.
How to submit a request

- Include your name, contact information, and a specific description of the records requested.
Response time
The Village will respond within five business days of receiving the request. The response time may be extended by an additional five business days for reasons specified in the Act.
Fees
There is no charge for the first 50 pages of black-and-white, letter or legal-sized copies. Additional copies are 15¢ per page. Records produced electronically are provided at no charge when feasible.
